Yay!

Good news! Dad was released from the hospital this morning. He and mom are going to be staying at a beachside condo (courtesy of some sweet, generous friends) for a few weeks while he continues to recover so they can be close to family and friends (and the Mayo Clinic). I talked to him this morning and he said he felt great. His appetite is starting to return, which is good, but he’s having to learn to deal with only having 2/3 of his former stomach capacity. Thanks for your continued prayers and concern for us. Leslie and Megan and I had a wonderful visit with him and Mom last weekend.
It was so great to sit in his room and joke around with him like old times. Being with Mom and my sisters was amazing, too! I love my family!!! Of course, please continue to keep Dad in your prayers. He still has the two blood clots, and he’ll just have to live with those. There are a number of complications that could still come up, and he’s got a long road of recovery ahead, but we’re so thrilled that he’s doing so well. Praise the Lord!

Oh, Jenny! I am so excited to hear the good news! Praise the Lord. Your family has been on my mind and prayers for a couple weeks now. I am always asking my mom and checking your website for updates on your dad’s condition. I’m sure he’s glad to be out of the hospital. It’s so hard to relax and get comfortable there!
Praise God for your dad’s recovering and for the strength He is giving your family. I know God is being glorified through this. I love you all
